Calling all kids: Get your play on and your brain buzzing at ARTech: Adventures in Art + Technology, a brand-new popup activity center in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. This two-month event, designed by the Children’s Museum of the Arts and the New York Hall of Science and hosted by the Meatpacking Business Improvement District, features an exciting array of STEAM(science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics)-centric activities for children ages 4 and up.
The activity center is free and open now through April 29 at 459 West 14th St. Hours of operation are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. RSVP for a timed entry slot is required to visit.
At ARTech, kids can expect to partake in many educational and fun-packed activities and features that promise to both challenge and thrill young minds. Installments include a vehicle-making station that explores velocity, an indoor blow-up planetarium, an interactive ball pool and even a station for creating GIFs. Children also have the opportunity to partake in workshops focused on various key topics, as well as contribute to a large collaborative piece of art.
With so much to offer children of all ages, this center is the perfect cold-weather activity to partake in this season. We encourage all of our Bright Kids families to head over to ARTech while it’s still available!
