Part-Time Teacher (Tutoring Services)

Part-Time Teachers support our tutorial operations and engage directly our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and will use their pedagogical knowledge to help students prepare for their exams in a 1:1 setting. This individual will also have the initiative to take on and collaborate on various administrative projects as they arise. Extensive training and ongoing development opportunities provided. Graduate education students preferred, but not required.

NYC Tests Include: Stanford-Binet, AABL, ECAA, CogAT, SCAT, ISEE (Primary and Lower Level), CTP, Common Core ELA/Math, ISEE (Mid- and Upper Level), SSAT, Specialized Middle School, Hunter High School, SHSAT, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Working with Pre-K through 8th grade students during in-office sessions

  • Researching New York City and nationwide exams

  • Greeting clients and discussing a student's progress with his/her parents

  • Reviewing and editing session reports

  • Other administrative tasks and projects as needed

Essential Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Education field required

  • Teaching/tutoring experience - preferably with younger students

  • Excellent communication skills, mature interpersonal style, the ability to interact with a diverse range of people, strong teamwork skills

  • Ability to multi-task & work in a fast-paced environment

  • IT & PC savvy, as all our systems are electronically-based

Marketing Manager

Bright Kids, BK Publications, and NYC Admissions Consulting are premier education brands providing tutoring, test prep, educational resources, and private school admissions consulting for families in NYC and nationwide. We are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive marketing associate to help grow our brands and engage with parents, students, and the education community.

 

The Part-Time Marketing Associate will manage and execute day-to-day marketing activities, including social media, email campaigns, website updates, content creation, and analytics. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, organized, and creative, with a passion for education marketing.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Manage Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts.
    Schedule posts, stories, and reels.
    Engage with followers and relevant communities.
    Track metrics: likes, comments, shares, engagement.
    Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write and design posts, newsletters, and website copy.

  • Support video content creation for social media and promotions.
    Assist with educational content, guides, and resource creation.
    Website & SEO Support

  • Update website content across all brand sites.
    Implement basic SEO updates (meta tags, alt text, keywords).
    Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements.
    Email Marketing & Lead Nurturing

  • Draft and send newsletters and campaigns.
    Segment email lists and track performance.
    Coordinate messaging across channels.
    Analytics & Reporting

  • Compile weekly performance reports (social, email, website).
    Track metrics, analyze trends, and suggest improvements.
    Administrative & Project Support

  • Assist with campaign planning and special projects.
    Coordinate with designers, videographers, or freelancers as needed

Essential Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Education field

  • –3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or communications.

Account Manager (Admin & Client Services)

Our Account Managers support clients directly during their time with us. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the initiative to generate new leads and to introduce potential clients to our array of test preparation services. Additional responsibilities will include helping to facilitate the registration and intake process, and also anticipating and managing client needs throughout the tutoring process. Experience managing high-end clientele with tact and certainty is a must. 

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement client outreach strategies to ensure ongoing satisfaction of long-term clients

  • Coordinate client management efforts with Account Managers and Education Department

  • Master product knowledge of offered services, as well as Bright Kids policies and history

  • Assist families in the enrollment process by recommending program type, completing registration, identifying best tutors, scheduling sessions, etc.

  • Match tutors with students while following and discussing student progress

  • Schedule tutoring sessions using our online calendar system

  • Attend and participate in various Account Management team meetings and periodic professional development workshops and training

Essential Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a direct client-facing role in a professional environment

  • Demonstrated experience handling client concerns and issues with tact and certainty

  • Outstanding administrative, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously

  • Ability to manage multiple client situations, needs, and inquiries simultaneously

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining interdepartmental working relationships

Early Elementary School Contract Tutor (Tutoring Services)

Bright Kids, Inc. is presently seeking contract tutors located in the New York City Area. Specifically, we are looking to bring on elementary school teachers to work with students in Pre-K-5th grade students in one-on-one tutoring sessions for admissions and achievement exams. We provide suggested materials and curricula that tutors might require for sessions based on a student's needs as seen on our internal diagnostics. Sessions will be scheduled at our Manhattan location and at clients' homes in all boroughs. The majority of our sessions occur on weekdays from 2:00-7:00pm and on weekends from 9:00-3:00pm.

 

Services Include:

Kindergarten Readiness, G&T (OLSAT/NNAT2), Stanford-Binet, AABL, ECAA, CogAT, ISEE (Primary and Lower Level), CTP-5, and Common Core ELA/Math.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing a student’s previously written session reports prior to tutoring the student.

  • Teaching students in a 1:1 session for 45-90 minutes, primarily on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings, in-office and at-home.

  • Discussing a student’s progress with his/her parents/caregivers.

  • Writing a detailed report of the session to be sent to parents/caregivers and internal staff. Session reports are also used to generate independent contractor invoices in conjunction with our invoicing system.

Essential Skills Required

  • Possession of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Education

  • Master's Degree: Open to traveling to students' homes for sessions, though the majority of our sessions take place at our offices. We currently serve the Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and parts of Northern New Jersey & Long Island

  • Minimum 2 years lead classroom teaching experience

  • Extremely polished, presentable, & possess exceptionally strong oral & written communication skills

  • Punctual & reliable

  • IT savvy. All of our systems are online-based!

Middle & High School Contract Tutor (Tutoring Services)

Bright Kids, Inc. is presently seeking contract tutors located in the New York City Area. Specifically, we are looking to bring on middle and high school teachers to work with students from 5th grade and up  in 1:1 tutoring sessions for admissions and achievement exams. Experience with key subjects such as algebra, trigonometry as well as tests like ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT is a plus. We provide suggested materials and curricula that tutors might require for sessions based on a student's needs as seen on our internal diagnostics. Sessions will be scheduled at our 3 Manhattan locations and at clients' homes in all boroughs. The majority of our sessions occur on weekdays from 2:00-7:00pm and on weekends from 9:00-3:00pm.

Services Include:

Hunter High School, Anderson Middle School, CogAT, Common Core, ISEE, SSAT, CTP-5 and ITBS.
