Bige D.
Founder & CEO
Bige Doruk is the founder of Bright Kids (www.bright-kids.com). A former McKinsey consultant with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Bige brings a practical, strategic approach to school admissions. Over the past two decades, she helped thousands of families navigate competitive admissions and supported scholarship and community outreach, including work with the Harlem Children’s Zone. She has been featured as an expert on ABC’s Nightline, CNN, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and more.
Ingemann O.
CTO
Dr. Olsen earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Odense in Denmark, and his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Denmark's Technical University. Dr. Olsen is a serial entrepreneur. Dr. Olsen is the CTO of Bright Kids NYC, where his expertise in technology is utilized to create individualized study plans and computer based learning.
John N.
Product Development Director
John is an accomplished professional with a proven track record of establishing operational excellence and product development from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. John is leading our product development efforts and has been spearheading the launch of our adaptive test prep platform in Fall 2026
Sally S.
Director of Curriculum
Sally, as Bright Kids' Curriculum Director, plays a vital role in enhancing instructional consistency. Since 2013, She achieves this by developing and refining curriculum materials, pacing guides, and providing teachers with clear, standards-aligned resources. Having joined Bright Kids in 2012, Sally has accumulated experience in various roles within the organization over the years.
Sally Schwab is also assistant principal at University Prep Charter High School. IShe holds an MS in School Building and District Leadership and an MA in Adolescent Social Studies Education from Hunter College and is professionally certified in both educational leadership and adolescent social studies (grades 7–12).
Brittany H
Senior Account Manager
Since joining Bright Kids as a tutor in 2012, Brittany has held several positions, including tutoring, account management, and client liaison. Currently, she oversees all client relationships, manages account managers, and is responsible for tutor hiring.
She holds a dual master’s degree in General and Special Education from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Brittany is certified to teach kids from birth through sixth grade and spent 12 years at a prestigious Manhattan private school, serving as a master teacher, curriculum coordinator, and administrator. She brings deep expertise in education and a long-standing commitment to student success.
Liv O.
Account Manager
Liv has been an account manager since 2023 and has worked extensively with clientele. She is currently a senior at Bronx High School of Science and will be attending Colorado School of Mines in Fall 2026 to study Mechanical Engineering.
